For three years, as an underground venue throwing 5-7 shows a week, Bookclub has proven that our ability to book and produce quality shows is unmatched. We have redefined what “DIY” looks like for artists across the continent and beyond its shores.

The live music movement we’ve ushered forth has outgrown the limits of our underground space; we want to better provide for the safety and show experience of music fans, and the artists we host deserve better means to practice their magic. So we will be moving into a multi-floor, one-stop-shop for independent performing artists and their fans, becoming a licensed space that champions a fun, safe, equitable venue experience for all.

Our new building was a once-famous venue beloved by Chicago music fans for nearly 30 years. We will breathe new life (and bring new fans) into the place in major fashion. It’s our hope that this place will bring together patrons and artists from across genres and generations for a truly diverse meeting place, creative collaboration space, and steadfast destination for music lovers on stage and off.
