Engage with the boundaries and needs of others with understanding and respect. Use your voice to protect those around you and be sensitive to the communities that enjoy our space.
Any discrimination, harassment or otherwise demeaning or destructive language, imagery, or behavior is strictly prohibited and may result in permanent expulsion, refusal of service, or legal action.
THIS INCLUDES, BUT IS NOT LIMITED TO
Vandalism and destruction of property ; intentional intimidation; menacing or offensive actions language; disruptions to the event; unwelcome discriminatory or pornographic imagery, jokes, or remarks; inappropriate sexual attention or physical contact; stalking and invasive photography/videography.
HOW TO REPORT SOMETHING
Please report any harassment or inappropriate behavior you witness or experience to a staff member in person or email info@bookclubchi.com.
WHAT WE'LL DO
Bookclub prioritizes the safety of everyone who enters our space. If you witness harassment or inappropriate behavior, we reserve the right to exercise what legal action we believe is necessary including but not limited to warnings, permanent expulsions and refusal of service, or reaching out to local law enforcement.
PLEASE TAKE CARE OF EACH OTHER
The Bookclub community is made of folks that care about the art. Help us continue to put on great, safe shows by sharing any violations of this code of conduct in person or email info@bookclubchi.com. If you see a potentially dangerous situation or someone who needs help, grab one of our staff. Even if it seems insignificant, it goes a long way to keeping the community safe.
