HOW CAN I BUY A TICKET FOR BOOKCLUB?
Bookclub is proud to utlize Etix ticketing services to facilitate our wonderful show calendar. You may purchase tickets for Bookclub on our website, under ‘shows’, or in-person at our front door check-in area using cash/credit.
WHAT EXACTLY IS THE DIGITAL BALCONY?
The digital balcony is a first of its kind venue/show viewing experience. Located on the floor directly above our music venue, you are met with a bar that has a wall-sized LED screen showcasing a multi-camera view of the show happening below your feet. The digital balcony boasts high-quality video, crisp audio, and zero latency. Whether you need a break, a large crowd isn’t your vibe, or you want to chill out and watch the show, the Digital Balcony and upstairs bar is a great option! It’s seriously cool, you have to come check it out!
WHAT IS BOOKCLUB’S AGE LIMIT POLICY? DO I HAVE TO SHOW ID TO GET IN?
The age limit policy VARIES show to show. Please be sure to carefully read all show details which indicate whether a particular show is all ages, 17+, 18+, or 21+.
The VAST MAJORITY of shows at Bookclub will be 21+. For ‘all ages shows’ & ‘17+’ shows, all persons under the age of 18 MUST BE ACCOMPANIED by a legal guardian or parent who 30yo+

CAN I BUY DRINKS AT BOOKCLUB?
*21+ For Alcohol* Beverages for days! We offer a delicious menu of alcoholic, non-alcoholic, local spirits, beverages, and delectables. We also offer our proprietary and totally original “HALF POUR PROGRAM”. All guests at Bookclub have the ability to order drinks and shots that are served at half of the amount of your typical pour (Oz’s.). We are proud to offer half sized shots and ‘half-pour’ mixed drinks to provide people with a more affordable and less intoxfying bar experience. Party safe, we say!
WHAT ABOUT WATER? IS DRINKING WATER FREE AT BOOKCLUB?
FREE WATER! We are proud to be the first music venue to offer our guests free drinking water in 3 different flavors! Enjoy your choice of free water that is plain or options that include delicious fruits and veggies for enhanced flavors. *Ingredients Listed for Allergies*
ARE THERE SEATS AT BOOKCLUB?
Bookclub shows are GA/standing room only. There is seating in our upstairs ‘digital balcony’, which offers a periscope view of the venue below your feet. Select comedy, standup comedy, theatre, and other alternative programming may offer a seated floor plan – please see specific show information for details or reach out to info@bookclubchi.com for questions.
IS BOOKCLUB ADA-ACCESSIBLE?
***Please note: Bookclub’s 100+ year-old building requires stairs to access both the ground level, and the venue downstairs. We take pride in creating a space where everyone feels welcome and safe, and we strive to provide accommodations for all guests to the best of our ability. Due to Bookclub’s building having been constructed in 1910, there are some firm limitations to accessibility.
While we commit to doing everything in our power to accommodate when given advanced notice, access to our ground level business floor is restricted by two small staircases, both having a small entrance step followed by 5 stairs to access the ground level. The venue in the basement is restricted for mobility access. It includes a turning staircase, 36+ inches wide with 19 steps.
Guests who require accessible accommodation please contact nick@bookclubchi.com & info@bookclubchi.com at least one week prior to the event.
Bookclub staff can provide assistance when possible. If you have tickets to an upcoming event and require special accommodation, or have questions, please contact nick@bookclubchi.com & info@bookclubchi.com at least one week prior to the event.
WHAT IS YOUR REFUND POLICY?
Bookclub does not offer refunds on tickets purchased. We do not offer and transfer of ticket services. For inquiries and questions regarding this Bookclub policy of NO transfers & NO refunds, please email info@bookclubchi.com
WHAT IS BOOKCLUB'S RE-ENTRY POLICY?
Re-entry during shows IS permitted for up to 20 minutes of absence. After 20 minutes, Bookclub reserves the right to deny re-entry if the building has reached its legal occupancy limit. We do not overcrowd!
I LEFT SOMETHING AT BOOKCLUB, HOW CAN I PICK IT UP?
Bookclub is not responsible for lost or stolen property. Please reach out to info@bookclubchi.com or visit us in-person to inquire about lost/stolen items.

Our hours of operation vary daily.
WHAT IS YOUR BAG POLICY?
Bags, purses, and backpacks are permitted in Bookclub. Our staff & security reserve the right to search any/all bags upon entry. ALL LARGE BAGS AND BACKPACKS WILL BE SEARCHED.
WHERE CAN I CONTACT BOOKCLUB WITH SAFETY CONCERNS & WHAT ITEMS ARE RESTRICTED FROM ENTERING THE VENUE?

- Totems, flags, banners, lawn stakes

- Laser pointers
- All metal knives and cutlery (**corkscrews and plastic/compostable cutlery ARE allowed)
- Skateboards, scooters, bicycles, personal motorized vehicles (exception ADA mobility devices)
- Drones, hoverboards, motorized toys
- Professional grade walkie-talkies or radios
- Unauthorized/unlicensed vendors
- Unauthorized solicitation and materials including handbills, flyers, stickers, samples, giveaways, etc.
Illegal and illicit substances of any kind including drugs or drug paraphernalia - Firearms, explosive, weapons of any kind *(including pocket knives, pepper spray, fireworks, etc.)
- Open flames
- Any item deemed dangerous by Security
WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED?
Our address is 2871 N. Lincoln Avenue, Chicago IL 60657 – Bookclub is located in the lakeview neighborhood of Chicago at the intersection of Lincoln Avenue, George Street, and Lakewood Avenue. Major nearby institutions and attractions include Depaul University, Wrigley Field, and Smartbar.
DO YOU HAVE PARKING?
Bookclub does not have a parking lot, or dedicated parking. Paid street parking and extremely limited free parking is available in the area.
